Debra enjoys seeing others change. She believes that everyone has a super hero inside of them and has made it her mission to help inspire the courage to change. She first began working in the addiction field in 2002 when she saw the need for women who have been incarcerated to come to after their release; opening Pathways for Women, where ladies could begin their journey of healing in a safe environment. She has been an integral part of California’s Prop 63 Full Service Partnership to serve those impacted with mental health issues and truly believes recovery is possible and a better quality of life is the goal.

As a Level II Certified Addictions Counselor and Certified Clinical Supervisor and also a recognized speaker on addiction treatment techniques, she regularly provides educational presentations for numerous healthcare and community organizations. During her career in addiction treatment, she has worked in case management, crisis response, and mental health. She also has served as a member of University of California Irvine Institute Review Board and currently sits on the County of Orange Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board.

She is passionate about inspiring others to recover from the devastation of addiction. She is an educator, mentor, counselor and public speaker offering solutions to those who have challenges. She has been recognized by United States Congress, California State Senate, and California State Assembly for her dedication and hard work for those that are suffering from addiction.
