Making a choice to seek help for your addiction is one of the bravest things a person can do, seeking help for the release drugs and alcohol have on them.  But what is the next step when you have found freedom from drugs and alcohol? How do you keep getting the care and support that you need to stay sober while still being able to continue daily living? Many can be concerned that as soon as they leave the comforts of residential treatment or detox, they could easily slip back into their addictions.

Our Outpatient Rehab in Orange County can provide these services to you, tailor-made to fit your schedule and to fulfill the needs you have. We know that no two clients are alike, so that means no two recovery programs will solve the same issues that people have with addiction.

What to Expect from Outpatient Rehab in Orange County, CA

Experience Recovery Outpatient Rehab in Orange County focuses on creating recovery programs that work with the health needs of patients, whether they are staying at home while recovering to being in transitional living. The programs are crafted based on the three elements of counseling, education, and providing support, helping individuals who have moved from intensive inpatient care to continued care from their home or transitional living community.

The following describes why our Outpatient Rehab in Orange County is different from the rest:

Treatment is completely confidential

Everything from the initial assessment to the treatment is handled privately and with the utmost discretion

Varied outpatient care

Treatment is not one size fits all but includes valuable resources such as group and individual therapy sessions and educational lectures.

Data-driven treatment

Science is key to making sure the options offered for recovery treatment are clinically proven to help individuals in a safe, effective, and timely manner. Some services include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhanced therapy, trauma-informed care, and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Age and gender appropriate

The outpatient rehab programs are catered to gender, while adults eighteen and older are cared for with the proper treatment.

Integrated co-occurring treatment

Knowing addiction can sometimes stem from issues with mental health. Our integrated co-occurring treatment allows both needs cared for at the same time, with the goal to bring complete healing to the person.

Experienced, knowledgeable clinical staff members

Your health will be in the good hands of our licensed and professional clinical staff to ensure your outpatient recovery is safe and respectful.

Personalized treatment

Patients are essential in making the best recovery plan for them, as thorough interviews are handled before care begins to make sure the recovery program is best for the patient’s needs.

What is the Intensive Outpatient Program?

Experience Recovery seeks to offer patients therapeutic outpatient rehab in Orange County that aids them in finding freedom from their addictions. Because there is no need for overnight stays, but still a need for consistent care with a group or individual therapy, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are available to assist.

The Partial Hospitalization Program allows patients to come to the clinic five days away and get therapeutic care for three hours daily. The services include one-on-one counseling with our licensed medical professionals and counselors to learn how best to achieve and maintain recovery from addiction.

Each patient is assigned a case manager and primary therapist as part of their person-centered treatment, working in collaboration with other licensed medical professionals. Outpatient services are available day and night to accommodate patients with work and family obligations and are provided for those continuing their recovery at home or in a transitional living situation.

Four activities to help with handling recovery at home

As you recover from addiction at home or in a transitional living situation, there are ways to cope with addiction cravings to prevent relapse.

  1. Contact a friend in Recovery – Experience Recovery believes recovery is a “we thing,” not a “me thing,” so it helps to know that when you are battling cravings to use or drink, talking to someone who is living the sober lifestyle can help. Be real with them about what you are experiencing, and if talking by phone or texting doesn’t help, see if you can meet the person out somewhere safe (free of addiction triggers) to talk.
  2. Go to a 12-step meeting – Attending a 12-step meeting can also help with managing your recovery, with the opportunity to talk and share with others who have also encountered addiction. Express the challenges you are going through in your recovery and allow others to support you and share their own journeys to recovery.
  3. Go on a walk – If the craving to use or drink begins to grow, go for a quick 10-20-minute walk around your neighborhood or at a nearby park. Besides helping to avoid your craving, you can get some exercise and some sunshine to lift your mood. Scientifically, walking or any moderate exercise help release the feel-good chemicals of dopamine and serotonin to help combat your addiction craving.
  4. Meditate – Meditation is a great way to slow your mind now and become more aware of the present moment. If you are having trouble meditating or are worried that you won’t be able to stay focused during this time, there are guided meditation sessions online to help.
