24/7 Medically Observed
Drug & Alcohol Detox
Experience Recovery offers detoxification and withdrawal management (WM) to treat individuals withdrawing from opiates, benzodiazepines, alcohol, methadone, and stimulants. Withdrawal management (WM) refers to the medical and psychological care of patients who are experiencing withdrawal symptoms as a result of ceasing or reducing use of their drug of dependence.
Experience Recovery provides detoxification in a way that reduces the discomfort in a safe environment. We offer 24-hour monitoring provided on a safe and closed campus where you will be assessed every 30 minutes for the first 72 hours to ensure you are comfortable and safe. Upon admission, you will be seen by our Addiction Specialist physician where he will prescribe the best treatment for your individual needs.
The focus during detoxification will be on establishing recovery while managing the symptoms of withdrawal in the safest and most effective way possible.
Some people stay in our detox level of care for 5 days, others for 10 days, and still others will stay for more than 15 days. Treatment at Experience Recovery is based on medical necessity and is individualized. Hence, there is no definitive amount of time for “completing” your detox.
Think of treatment at this phase as an opportunity to establish a healthy foundation for recovery.
Due to each individual needing different kinds of services in varying amounts and methods, your counselor will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals important to you.
One person’s treatment plan will look different from another person’s because each plan is individualized. When your plans are developed, both you and your case manager will sign them in agreement. A copy will go into your chart and you will be offered a copy to keep. You may also work with a therapist to develop plans for you and your family.
Detox is the Foundation for Recovery
Those who struggle with addiction will find that the detox process can be difficult, and can be accompanied by potentially serious withdrawal symptoms such as aches, fever, nausea, and fatigue. Because detox leaves the body and mind vulnerable, it also raises the risk of overdose, which can sometimes prove fatal. This is why home-based detox is not recommended; instead, those with addiction are encouraged to pursue medically supervised detox through Experience Recovery.
We use science-based, clinically proven models that provide a safe, expedient, and fully effective detox process, preparing the client for ongoing treatment and recovery. Our detox program is:
